Pincrastination
It's one of those nights. You know, the ones where you don't even bother going to bed because you know you won't be able to sleep. The ones where you have that anxious feeling in your chest and you don't even know why. Where you've done everything except the things you should have done all evening in an attempt to avoid...whatever. Yes, that kind of night. FYI, I'm about to talk about pinterest, toner, and homemade exfoliation. It's about to get extremely non-manly in case any guys happen to be reading this.
I have taken avoidance to new heights tonight, my friends. I did not one, not two, but three pinterest inspired procrastinating attempts. I call it pincrastinating. First I made a toner with lemon juice, witch hazel, and water. Then I put my new toner in a small, glass jar I'd saved. Unfortunately the lid said pimentos (which I'd bought to make my own pimento cheese...pinterest strikes again) and that's not cute at all. So I painted the lid with a pearlescent white paint I just happened to have right next to me. That would be pincrastinating project number two. Then I wanted to use my new pinteresty toner, so I made my own exfoliant with coconut oil and baking soda. Seriously. It's like pinterest just threw up all over my night. By the way, my face feels pintastic!
But now it's 12:56am, and I know that rest isn't coming yet. I have two options. One, I could actually try to finish my to-do list for the day. Since the clock has already rolled over to a new day, I'm just going to admit defeat and put it off until normal working hours. The dishes can sit in the sink for 7 more hours. Nobody will care. Option number two is to sit down and catch up my calendar. I have two, and neither of them are complete. We have some big things coming up in the next month and a half, and it will take some serious planning and juggling to even hope to pull it all off.
God is changing up our world again. He's giving us new challenges. He's stretching us again to make us better. He's bringing out the things in my heart that I hide and pretend don't exist so that He can deal with them. And I'm better for it. I'll be even better if I can get a decent amount of sleep tonight! So I'm off to fill in my calendar and to-do list so that I can finally go to bed. We have too much to do tomorrow to waste the day sleeping!
