The good and the bad of our September

This is short because I have a lot to do, and I only have about 10 minutes to fully devote to procrastination. So two things: First, I have spent the last few weeks and will continue for the next two weeks listing out all of the things we  have done, are doing, or will do. It's a LOOONG list. The thought occurred to me that some people might think I'm complaining about everything we have to do, but that couldn't be further from the truth. I am having the BEST time this month! September is crazy. We knew things would be crazy, and while most people would dread all the work, I've been looking forward to it. Seriously. These kinds of times are the ones that I look forward to. It's a challenge for me. Can I really do a road trip to Maine, do all of our community work including three events, make time for the kids and friends, start teaching a literature class on the other side of the state, pack up our house AND move in 4 weeks? The Dumonts are moving!

By now, you probably know that we're moving in a few weeks. What you don't know is the crazy confluence of events that lead up to our upcoming moves. Yes, I said moves because we will be moving twice in the next 5 months. Every time I start telling people about our plan, we either get laughed at or the "are you crazy" look.  So let's just put an end to that question right now. Yes, we are edging ever closer to the top of the crazy scale. I won't go into all the things that came together to lead to this move, but it involves a three different things coming together from completely different directions at the same time. It was a perfect storm in a way!  We never felt as if we'd be in Charleston long term. In fact, I always pictured us leaving after three years, and we just hit the 3 year mark.
